Okay so a few weeks ago pookie and I were at Hastings and he found unedited copies of the original Star Wars trilogy. I'd seen bits and pieces a long time ago, and I think at some point when they were rereleased I saw the first one, and I also think at some point our dorm was host to a Star Wars night in which I'm pretty sure I played Sims and was lame and antisocial throughout, so alas, my memories of the original trilogy were fairly obscure.
So we watched all three. Like we got the first one by itself because it was kinda like, okay, what if they are super campy and lame in kind of an 80's sort of way. Then the other two because we are both OCD and have to have all of a collection and we (I) thought the first one wasn't bad at all, really. But omg.
OMG.
HAN AND LEIA OMG. SOCUTEALDJFGLJDFGL.

So I am fangirling like whoa and am obsessively obtaining the novels because MORE. I WANT TO SEE MORE OF THIS. Even if it's in my head and novelly. Also, 80's Harrison Ford = total fox. I know now he is all old and stuff but. Holy crap. Yow AND za. So in this vein we found the first Indiana Jones at walmar and took it home to watch it and I. FELL. ASLEEP. *ducks I'M SO LAME. We still have to watch the end of it. (And I have a ranty post about John Williams reusing thematic elements of his scores for George Lucas movies but alas. I don't want to interrupt the warm squishy fangirly LOVEFEST that is Han + Leia, omfgs;lkdgj;akgsd)
There are more relevant things I could be posting about (health updates! crafty things! VANCOUVER LOSING THE STANLEY CUP WUT! a post with actual photos!) but I have been flailing like a loon for the past several weeks about these lovely three films and thought the intarwebs should know >_>; especially how late to the original trilogy fanbus I am. SO HORRIBLY BEHIND THE TIMES. Anyway.
[Edit: I realized in a fit of SHAME that I have no Star Wars icons ;_; I had to go on a rampage to find one to use for this post so I didn't have to post a Spock or Worf and permanently revoke my nerd girl hat. I hide now.]
