As in, "...somebody's got a case of the". Because yesterday was spent in doctor's ofc getting probed and poked and having blood drawn. By the time I got out it was just like "......" and home for me. And they still don't know what's wrong -_- but maybe they have it narrowed down. It's infernally frustrating and I'm sick of missing work. (I mean, I don't miss work...but you know XD)
Dusty has a lower tooth that's way overgrown. I am going to see if I can get her into the vet this weekend and maybe he can trim it down. She's starting to look like a bulldog and I know it's got to be hurting her jaw. The other lower tooth I guess hits at the right point in her mouth where it's been worn down to a suitable length, but this one is going to be an impending problem if it's not taken care of. They'll probably have to anesthetize her...oy vey. But maybe if I get that tooth taken care of my softball rat will start to put some weight back on.
Also this weekend is another doctor's visit of the annual variety. Ugh and gross. They are wanting me to come in for a colonoscopy but I am putting it off until probably next Monday because I do not want to have that and then a couple of days later go in for that. It's just too gross and annoying for words.
Next weekend I think is going to end up being my second mandolin lesson evar, and owie my fingers hurt yesterday. I finally broke down and popped into the music store over by Quizno's and got a metronome, new picks (ugly gray nylon ones that I'm not sure will work 100%), and a clippy tuner. The lesson was originally supposed to be this weekend but alas, my stupid body takes precedent over fun awesome things like mandolin.
When I was practicing last night I got the first page tinkered out of a three (four?) page song I'm working on. Awesome! It's still easy for me to slip back into old bad habits, like rushing things, not taking them apart, etc etc. I think my teacher expects more out of me because I've got a background in piano, although I haven't had a lesson in ten years. It's still fun to peck away at something until it sounds relatively like music. I don't know if it's the output that I find more exciting, or the process. Like, I think if I could just pick up an instrument and play it, it wouldn't be as enjoyable to me.
As far as the apartment goes, I have a few Major Projects that I'd like to get knocked out in the next week. Namely, 1) spot cleaning all the cat vom spots on the carpet; 2) planting more little tomato plants and starting them off slow this time; 3) cleaning out my closet and finally taking the bag of clothes in the hallway to Goodwill; 4) getting all my hoarded stamps off their papers and in my homemade press to dry; 5) cleaning and folding and putting up all the laundry; 6) posting on Ebay a bunch of stuff in my little office-slash-study that need to get out of here; and 7) getting clay beads made and fired and possibly painted in anticipation of jewelry making. This is on top of usual weekend things, like cleaning all the animals and getting the kitchen in shape.
So we shall see! But for now, it's time to get ready for an action-packed day at work~
